Dogs are welcome in the Harness Room adjacent to the main tearoom. The tearoom offers a varied selection of light bite dishes as well as cakes and drinks. The tearoom staff were very helpful – as I was visiting the tearoom on my own with my two westies on this occasion, they kindly brought my tray with coffee and scone through to the dog friendly area for me after I had ordered at the counter. A water bowl was quickly provided for the dogs too.
Having the dog friendly area separate from the main tearoom actually was advantageous as the dogs could be let off their leads and left free to wander around the room without disturbing any of the other customers. Paxton House has some lovely grounds where dogs on leads are also welcome.
